The Artist
Joe Higgins

Ladies and Gentleman,
Boys and Girls, Welcome to Carving Tranquility's World!
I'm
now offering you something no other maker or dealer will offer you absolutely Free. What is it you ask, the
tricks of the trade to get you started and the tools required to get you making
tramp art yourself.
The
last 6 years I’ve been bouncing from town to town, no not really being a
tramp, I’ve been flipping houses. I’ve finally settled down in the
countryside primarily working now as a general contractor and completing the
house I am in now.
I’m
not updating the site to try to sell you tramp art. My purpose is to give you
something no one else would give me education and knowledge about creating tramp
art. I am old school I believe you have to give it away to keep it. Over the
years I told so many people how to make it with the grinder and that, in my
opinion, is why the market has been flooded with so much tramp art. I also told
you not to pass it off as old! Maybe you forgot to listen to that piece of
advice! With nothing to loose and nothing to gain I’m just bringing Tramp Art
back to the basics the CRAFTER.
One
of the goals of this site is to teach people to do tramp art and eventually
build a base of artists who make tramp art today. I’d love the opportunity to
introduce you and your art on my site.
My
experience in the tramp art world has been frustrating to say the least. It has
been difficult finding anyone who is making tramp art today that is willing to
share the HOW of making it. The world of dealers and historians of Tramp Art
dismiss modern day Tramp Art. The statement I heard made is, “I would never
have a piece of contemporary tramp art in my house.”
I
would like others to know they can find someone willing to help them learn and
hopefully fall in love with tramp art, regardless if it is modern Tramp Art. On
my tools page I will tell you what to look for to spot the modern tramp art
being passed as old.
If anyone has any questions please feel free to contact me. The best time to reach me is between 7-9PM EST.
